For this project, Studio Hansa was responsible for the production, collaborating with Continuous and The Considered to explain Alzheimer’s disease to children. Using papercraft textures, bright colours, and charming character design, we created a children’s book-inspired experience. The story, told from Josh’s perspective, presented difficult truths about Alzheimer’s disease in a child-like way through “sea creatures” and projected imagination.
I managed the production from animatic to final delivery, developing characters, scenes, and audio. The goal was to make Alzheimer’s easier to understand and talk about for families. The final animation, featuring lip-synced dialogue and bespoke audio, was well-received by the public and even featured by The Huffington Post.
